INREMP-Chico Upper River Basin (CURB) conducted its 14th Pre-construction and Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Rehabilitation of Malucsad-Guina-ang-Puapo farm-to-market road on February 27, 2020 in Pasil, Kalinga.


The consolidated efforts of the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Pasil Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU), and other partners of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-CAR in the implementation of Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management Project (INREMP), paved the way to this symbolic event of the PhP 20 million project (of which 12% is counter-part of the partner MLGU). The event serves as a go-signal to commence the rehabilitation activities on the said farm-to-market road.


Upon completion, the rehabilitation of the 4-kilometer Malucasad-Guina-ang-Puapo farm-to-market road shall ease access to Natural Resources Management Subprojects and Livelihood Enhancement Support Subprojects in barangays Guina-ang and Dangtalan.


Representatives for the local government unit of Pasil, DA-CAR-INREMP, DENR- INREMP-National Project Coordinating Office (NPCI), DENR-Regional Project Coordination Office, PENRO Kalinga, CENRO Tabuk, Barangay Local Government of Guina-ang, Malucsad, and Dangtalan, the contracting entity, community members including theBarangay Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation Teams (BPMETs), joyfully attended the Pre-construction and Ground Breaking Ceremonies.
